Christmas theming installs, draping, alpine theme
Long term venue draping and theming. Christmas

Christmas party draping season is our business time of year. We do full time installs along with setting up and de rig on the same night. Venues we have draped for Christmas Parties include Tobacco Docks (we were the first ones ever to do a party there for 3500 guests), Wembley Bobby Moore suite. ICC and NEC. Those are obviously big venues, but we do many more hotels suites, venues, barns and so forth.

Christmas Party set up for a typical Corporate event.

Over the years we have seen Christmas party draping trends come and go. One year we draped what seemed to be endless Charlies Chocolate Factory Themes. Only for them to disappear the next year. Hence we now focus on the themes and draping that remains popular year on year.

We know it’s tempting to try all sorts of different Christmas theme ideas. And we’re here to help if you want to do themes like, Atlantis, around the world and so on. Our advice however is Keep It Simple. If you want to do a themed event then often that means bringing in props. With the cost of transport that is no longer a budget friendly endeavour.

Draping Makes a Huge Difference to the Christmas Party

In terms of bang for you buck venue draping cant be beaten. A prop may cost you £300 just for one prop, and thats before delivery. Where as we transform an entire room. We can cover the walls with starcloth. Drape the ceilings. Add fairy lights. And it can look quite spectacular.

Where to spend your budget after draping.

OK so if you have a large budget to spend. The go for it, props are great fun we aren’t talking that way. We used to offer many props and even made our own prop car. But what is more entertaining than props? Well entertainers. It’s a waking what amazing things people can do, and we find them the real centrepiece of an event in many ways. Here’s some weird and whacky entertainment we have arranged over the years.

Star-cloth Hides a Myriad of Problems

When choosing a venue for your Christmas party there is one thing that often over rides an all others. Location. Especially London Christmas parties, a few extra miles can mean a whole lot of travelling. And you need to think about staff getting home and so on.

Well fear not there are solutions. Your options become more varied when you consider you are able to hide all the walls and ceilings with some clever Christmas party draping. Venues are designed for all sorts of uses and Christmas parties aren’t they’re number 1 thought. Some can be rather bare and soulless. Others old and dated. Either way starcloth changes the whole dynamic

Christmas Party Ceiling Draping

Draping brings out the character of a venue or it hides its anomalies. It can enhance a sophisticated event, or create a fun atmosphere. Drapes also reduce bounce of walls and ceilings from some of the more sparse venues that are so common these days.

There are a few reasons draping is so popular for Christmas parties

1: Draping is cost effective, you get a lot of bang for your buck

2: It softens the venue and creates a proper party atmosphere

3: Guests really get that wow factor when walking into a draped room

4: It can be installed on the day and taken out after the event
